NIGERIA UNITES TO PRAY

Please kindly and urgently pass this prayer on to every body on your mailing list to pray this prayer at least once every day for the next twenty-one days.
If you can, let it go viral on the net and send it to every God-fearing person, place it in any willing News papers as paid advert or in any other publication, put it n all websites that are available and send it to all your friends to pray this prayer urgently for Nigeria. The terrorists and their sponsors shall be brought down swiftly to the pit in Jesus name.

Prayer for Nigeria to Triumph over Evil
(Pray this Prayer for the next twenty-one Days if you Love Nigeria and God will answer speedily)

Psalm 10
Why, Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? (O Lord, be merciful to us and draw near to us; do not hide Yourself from us in the time of trouble)
In his arrogance the wicked man (the terrorist and his sponsor) hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises. He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord. In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. His ways are always prosperous; your laws are rejected by[b] him; he sneers at all his enemies. He says to himself, “Nothing will ever shake me.” He swears, “No one will ever do me harm.” His mouth is full of lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue. He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent. His eyes watch in secret for his victims; like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net. 10 His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.
11 He (the terrorist and his sponsor) says to himself, “God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.” 12 Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. 13 Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, “He won’t call me to account”?
14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.  Break the arm of the wicked man; call the evildoer to account for his wickedness that would not otherwise be found out.
16 The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land.
17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, 18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror in Jesus Name. Amen

WHEN IDEA BECOMES THE PROBLEM

Hello, i'm sure by now you all know that my favourite day of the week is monday, my apologies to all those who dread mondays, maybe you need a change of job... #justthinkingaloud.

A Few days ago,  a friend i hadn't seen in years suddenly called me that he was in lagos, and at the Ikeja city mall. wow, that's so close to me, stay put i'll be with you in about 2 hours was my response. so after a beautiful evening service i decided to stop by the city mall to see him.

i tried to pre-play how i would react when i saw him, would i hug him, or would i shake him or would i slap him (that kind of where the heck have you been slap) as i walked to the entrance of the mall, God bless a friend who dropped me there in her car after service. you can imagine the shock i got when i saw my friend standing in front of the mall than none other than a 'senior friend'. Ejiro. it was a pleasant one though as i broke into a grin and hugged them both(Psymon, thank God Ejiro saved you from the slap as that was most likely the option i would have gone for)

well one thing led to another and as is chararistic of having senior friends around, they are always concerned about how well you are doing? your progress in life etc. and as the conversation went on he made a statement that took me a week to process. 'the problem with you young guys is too many ideas'

Truthfully, nowadays we see a lot of young people with many brilliant ideas but no staying power. i know we have heard over time that ideas rule the world. however your ability to turn an idea into a profitable business requires staying power, committment and strategic thinking.

Most times when we get a fantastic idea and we run with it, at the slightest sign of trouble we jump ship because we have another idea we can readily explore, even worse is when we try to combine several ideas at once, eventually they all suffer.
one battle every intelligent person has to fight is known as the

so Ladies and Gentlemen, we have to learn to sift through those multiple ideas, pick one and stick to it till it blossoms into realization. then if you like you can pick another one and grow it again, but trying to implement too many ideas at once might not be the best idea.

Have a fabulous monday

FAITHFULNESS-THE KEY TO INCREASE

I remember driving all the way from Lagos to Benin, and back to lagos just to attend a 2hour program with Pastor Sule Emmanuel about two years ago. truth be told, even i didn't fully understand then. but after the meeeting i stopped praying a prayer point.

i stopped praying for increase... and instead i started working towards it... How? keep reading.

He made a profound ststement i will never forget that day

he said "You don't pray for increase; Increase is the natural reward for faithfulness"

truth be told when he first made the statement i felt somehow...i come from a background where it is believed you must pray for everything. but having driven that distance to listen to him i'm sure you know it means i respect him and the calling upon his life. so i went back to study scriptures.

i stumbled across the story of Abram who was asked to leave his homeland at 75years of age, an age where most of us are writing wills and getting ready to die, but the man packed his bags and relocated to where God said he would show him. God rewarded him with a son in his old age. feels like increase right? but God didn't stop there, God decided to test his faithfulness again and asked him to sacrifice isaac to him. once again Abram(now Abraham) made moves to sacrifice the only son through which God's promise of increase to him was to be fulfilled.  God stopped him in time and of course today everyone claims to be a descendant of Abraham.

The story of the talents butressed his points as the man who hid his talent got it taken from him, while the men who were faithful with theirs got additional cities to rule over. Does that sound like increase? it sure does to me.

I remember the stories of some of our fathers in the faith, Pst E.A Adeboye, Rev PJA Olaiya, Apostle Johnson Sulemanand several others who have attained great heights and influence. their beginings were small but they remained steadfast, holding on to God's promise of increase, but remaining faithful to the call upon their heads.

as i look back now i discovered that God had enlarged my coasts and has increased me, because i made up my mind after that day to become faithful in whatever i find committed to my hands. all of a sudden i who used to be taken for granted have become an integral member of any committee being set up in church, i used to teach Jamb tutorials and i threw myself into it committedly, now i teach post graduate students. i used to write poetry and articles for magazine now i am writing books...

Folks, i am not preaching what i have not tried... many christians have been praying for increase over the years and it seems to be eluding them. many believers have resorted to blaming witches from their villages. Just before you look outside, first look inwards, have you been committed to the little God has placed in your hands?

You might not like the job; be faithful...

you might not like your boss; be faithful...

your salary might be too low; be faithful...

and before you know it, increase will locate you.

God Bless you

TOUGH TIMES WILL COME

Morning everyone and of course I must say welcome to 2015. Never mind that it's coming late. But I just am not a fan of making noise when everyone else is doing same.
However I can assure you that 2015 is gonna be a great year. Speaking of great,my book is finished and currently undergoing review with my senior friends.
I am very excited about the book as it promises to be helpful to our relationships. It is opened up for further reviews from literary lovers, relationship counselor, editors and other interested friends.

Yes back to my topic. tough times! I know some of you have heard just predictions of a blissful 2015 and feel I'm being too negative but I must assure you that tough tomes will come. However, tough tomes don't last, tough people do. My Dad would always say, it is foolhardy not to prepare for what you cannot avoid!

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be.That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.
There are times when people disappoint you and let you down;. but those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust not in your own judgments and opinions, but instead to keep your life focused on believing in God’s promises. That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, but and it is up to you to accept them. Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction God has planned for
you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are. So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to keep trusting God and never toot stop walking
in the path he has set for you.

Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

Keep Believing In The Most High!
