THE DEATH SERIES: EPISODE 3: THE HEAVEN DILEMA

Hello family... Top of the morning to you,  it's getting hotter as this series goes on... several people have called to chastize me while some others have called to agree with me...
However i owe anyone who disagrees no apology, we are sometimes so entrenched in the status quo that we find it hard to understand Truth even when it's light shines directly on us.

Anyway i will be glad to answer any questions, simply direct them to tgbamila@gmail.com

Today we go straight to EPISODE 3: THE HEAVEN DILEMA

As usual a strange title, but if I must be honest to myself I am really in a dilema as regards the existence of Heaven to the believer.( Hold on, I have not back slided yet) but everytime I see a death and the attendant reactions from christians I am forced to wonder if Heaven is real.

I grew up hearing stories about the beauty of Heaven, how the streets are paved with gold and how there are crowns waiting for the believer who gets there.  However the only downside to it is that it is not immediately accessible to us. we have to wait for either death or for the rapture.
I remember a particular sunday school where a little boy stood up, raised his hands and said, "Aunty, why can't we all go to heaven now?" the adults burst into laughter.

Herein lies my Dilema; if heaven is real with all the attendant glory, and the only two ways to access it is either death or rapture, how come those are the two occurences most dreaded by the church today. the mention of the second coming of Christ in some churches today seems like taboo, whilst every prayerband is praying against the spirit of death. A secular musician who got puzzled had to sing "...Nobody wan die but them wan go heaven..."

As much as Christ has conquered death and given us access to life, if death is the only way to get to heaven for now, since Christ tarries, then why are christians so terrified of dying? does it mean they do not really believe what they confess about heaven being a better place? does it mean some believers do not really believe what they profess?

Apostle Paul was so happy to die, he said he had fought a good fight, had finished the race and was now ernestly waiting for the crown Christ will give him on the day of reckoning and then he made a profound statement that not only him, but a prize also awaits those who look forward eagerly to the day of Christ's coming.

I was listening to Benefit of Death recently, a message preached by Archbishop Benson Idahosa before he passed on to glory and I heard this "Pa Elton said to me Don't raise me from the dead when I die infact 6hours after I die bury me.. I have served God for 56years... I have done every thing God asked me to do. Don't buy a coffin, wrap me in a cloth and bury me; use the money for coffin to buy tracts and share to people And that's exactly what we did" -
Archbishop B.A Idadosa.

in my opinion that was a man who firmly believed in Heaven, and wanted to go there. his instruction "...Don't raise me from the dead when i die" is instructive. he knew he had lived a life of purpose and he was ready to go home to be with the lord.

My conclusion is this, The minute you truly believe Heaven is real and heaven awaits you when you die, you stop being afraid of death and concentrate on making maximum impact here on earth because you know your time here on earth is limited. that way when the master comes to take you home, you stretch your arms to him lovingly saying "Receive me."

THE SALIENT POINT

Calvary greetings guys and i say happy sunday to you, i know or hope many of you are already heading to church or in church already so would see this after service... however i just wanna share something with you all and i hope it causes us to think deeply.

Nigeria is host to the largest church auditorium in the world
Nigeria is also host to One of the largest Congregation in the world.
Majority of Nigerians attend one church or the other on Sunday
Nigerians majorly are a very religious lot.
Nigeira has the largest number of Penticostal Pastors in the world
Nigeria hosts some of the richest pastors in the world.
Nigerians are London's biggest spenders
                    Yet
Nigeria is one of the most corrupt countries in the world
Nigeria is becoming home to some really mundane practices
Boko Haram has been having a field day
The Standard of living for most people doesn't seem to be improving
Nigerians are some of the poorest people in the world.
Crime rates are on the rise in Nigeria daily

The Salient Point...
Of what use is our salvation if we can't impact our world?
We go to church religiously every sunday and yet it seems that is all there is to it.
how about if we decided to take a different approach? what is we stopped restricting ourselves to those sunday sunday gatherings in massive cathedrals, and also added some community development initiatives? personally i mean. what if we stopped dusting and bringing out our bibles only on service days and actually begin to show love to our neigbhours everyday?  What if we began to reach people not only with the written word of God but with the evidence of obedience to scriptures?

don't get me wrong, i love going to church and fellowshipping with the brethren(i even work in church so i guess i pass on that point) but the salient point is, if we restrict ourselves to fellowshipping with believers, who will show love and minister to that area boy? Remember the area boy you did not reachout to with God's love becomes the potential armed robber or election thug tomorrow.
Let's not just play church, Let's become christians.(Christlike)

TOUGH TIMES WILL COME

Morning everyone and of course I must say welcome to 2015. Never mind that it's coming late. But I just am not a fan of making noise when everyone else is doing same.
However I can assure you that 2015 is gonna be a great year. Speaking of great,my book is finished and currently undergoing review with my senior friends.
I am very excited about the book as it promises to be helpful to our relationships. It is opened up for further reviews from literary lovers, relationship counselor, editors and other interested friends.

Yes back to my topic. tough times! I know some of you have heard just predictions of a blissful 2015 and feel I'm being too negative but I must assure you that tough tomes will come. However, tough tomes don't last, tough people do. My Dad would always say, it is foolhardy not to prepare for what you cannot avoid!

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be.That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.
There are times when people disappoint you and let you down;. but those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust not in your own judgments and opinions, but instead to keep your life focused on believing in God’s promises. That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, but and it is up to you to accept them. Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction God has planned for
you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are. So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to keep trusting God and never toot stop walking
in the path he has set for you.

Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you.

Keep Believing In The Most High!

LOCATION FOR ALLOCATION

hello folks, i'm sure you need no reminder that it's friday but all the same i'll scream it out TGIF... lolz, please remember to always leave a comment after reading, you can also drop a testimony on the testimony section of my Blog. God bless you and as you read, may your lives be transformed.

It is an open secret that when God is set to bless a man he usually positions him at a spot where he can be divinely located. A lot of people have remained in poverty and penury for so long because they have stepped out of their point of divine location.  A classic example is that of Gehazi, Gehazi could easily have been the greatest prophet that ever lived.

Look at it this way, Elijah was a great prophet and is still being spoken about till date,  we remember vividly when there was faminie in the land and God sent him to a brook, and there ravens fed him, (when you are in your place of divine location you cannot go hungry.)  In 2kings 2:9 when he was to be taken up to heaven, Elisha his servant ran after him and asked for double portion of his anointing, Elisha did not stop pursuing his master, despite various persuasions to stop, until he got to his point of Divine location. Elisha then became one of the greatest prophets that ever lived with his bones raising the dead, Gehazi his servant was next to become a great prophet, but we see in 2kings 5:20 how he ran off after Naaman, unlike his master Elisha, thereby leaving his place of Divine location, and the consequence was  he became a leper. His destiny got truncated because he left his place of Divine location.

Abraham couldn’t get blessed as long as he remained in his home town. God had to tell him. “get thee out of thy country and from thy kindred and from thy father’s house unto a land that i would shew thee and I would make of thee a great nation, and I would bless thee and make thy name great and thou shalt be blessed.”  (Gen 12:1-2.) His getting blessed was tied to him getting out of his comfort zone and getting into his point of divine location. Abraham still made a slight error by taking his cousin with him and sooner than later they began to have issues, so they eventually had to separate, Lot took the land that was seemingly greener and was to fare better, but because Abraham was at his point of divine location he flourished and was richer and better than Lot who eventually lost everything he had.

Acts 1:4-8 Jesus told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem, and they would receive the Holy Ghost. They needed to stay in their place of divine location to get allocated with their portion of destiny. They obeyed and stayed put and had an encounter with the Holy Ghost that took them from zero to becoming heroes. Just a few weeks earlier we saw peter vehemently deny that he knew Jesus but after that divine encounter on the day of Pentecost, Peter turned into a fearless apostle who kept preaching Jesus even to the point of death.

People of God, it’s your season of Divine Location, and i emplore you to take care to listen to  all divine instructions seriously this season, you don’t want to be missing when it’s your time to be located, be prayerful and don’t leave your point of Divine location.. and if you're in the wrond place, Begin to ask God to lead you to your point of divine location. because

YOUR LOCATION DETERMINES YOUR ALLOCATION.

God bless you... Have a lovely weekend

Giant Slayer

When people hear the story of David and Goliath, sometimes they think, “That was all God.” And yes, in a sense, it was all God; but God didn’t sling the stone. David had a role to play, too. God gave David the skill that he had to develop in order to be prepared for that defining moment.

Like David, God has put skills inside of you so that you can slay the giants in your life. You have the skills that can open new doors, skills that can lead to an abundant life, but the key is that the skills have to be developed. Every day that you spend growing, learning and improving, you’re getting prepared for that new level.

Today, while you’re waiting for that new opportunity, start sharpening your skills. Study your boss. Study your manager. Learn that position. Be able to step into their shoes. When God sees that you are prepared, then He can open new doors. The scripture says, “Your gifts will make room for you.” Keep developing your skills because there is a giant slayer in you!

would you join me in saying this prayer?
Father, thank You for depositing in me everything that I need for victory in my life. I choose to be faithful. I choose to sharpen my skills. Help me be prepared for every opportunity You have for my future in Jesus’ name. Amen.
