NEVER LOSE HOPE!!!

Hello folks, its the last day of the year and I write this post with mixed feelings,  I know that in this year many of us have had our ups and downs, (I have) but in all we are grateful to God for the gift of life. God that has brought us to the end of 2014 will see us through 2015 inJesus name.

I got this from a friend and thought it would bless you.
Overtime I've discovered there is no absolute finish line for everyone
in the race of life. Our tracks are different and our durations are
different. The only thing we have in common is the same empire.

For instance, one person graduates @ age 20 and struggles for another 5
years to get a job, another might graduate @ 25 and get a job
immediately. One can marry a virgin and wait for the next decade to
have the blessing of children, another lady probably after having
series of abortions in her past, becomes a mother almost
immediately after marriage. A fellow becomes MD @ 38 and dies @
56, another becomes MD @ 55 and lives to 90. What a life! Life is full
of twists, turns, ups and downs and many more surprises and
disappointments.

Life offers each and everyone of us different opportunities, and once an opportunity is lost, it's gone forever except by the grace of God. It is up to each one of us to patiently prepare, wait, recognise and utilize every opportunity.
We learn on the way. No one has it all or knows it all. There is a reason why we
all don't fall @ the same time, It's so that when one is down, weak
and discouraged, the other who is strong can encourage and lift the
other person.

God never promises that the road would be easy, but
he promised never to leave or forsake us. Although life is
complicated, let us learn to go easy on ourselves and trust that God
is working it all out for our good (even if it doesn't make sense now).
Whatever trials, challenges or down times we face, all shall pass,
and in due course, we will be up and strong again to lift up those who
may be down around us. NEVER LOSE HOPE..

Thanks for being a part of my 2014, let's do it again in 2015... Greater heights...
As my friend Dr Talle would say: I believe you are a Genius...
Wishing you a beautiful Year ahead..

Do your best to Crossover into 2015 in God's presence.

Minister EFFIZEY signing out. Love you all.

THE PROBLEM IS YOU!!!

Hello people of God... i hope you all enjoyed the series i just finished poseting... truth be told, i didnt intend for it to be a dream but when i saw how brutal the ending was, my spirit couldn't take it so i had to figure out a way to make it a better ending... lolz. i am being tempted to continue ooo(just that some people go get emergency high blood pressure.)

ok back to my topic for today! i know the topic sounds negative but truly as the year 2014 draws to a close we have to begin to hope and pray for a better Nigeria in 2015.

it is an open secret that 2015 is an election year and already the tempo is really high with a lot of back and forths between supporters of the major political parties or candidates in Nigeria. However i refuse to talk politicson this blog so i won't make much comment on that. Something happened around christmas which got me thinking.

a popular Social Media Strategist and Author of several books, John Obidi,(yea he is a friend of mine, u go fear famzing) put up this post.

"CONTEST! What does Christmas mean to you?

The comment with the FEWEST likes will get a recharge card to any network!"

and so people began writing what christmas meant to them and then something funny began to happen, in order to win people started liking other peoples comment, so other comments would have more likes than theirs, this continued for a few days, and my comment began to acquire likes, i commented again and this time i just wrote 'ah' . unbelievebly that also attracted likes, i tried again and wrote 'chai' and that also miraculously attracted likes. so i decided to think of another approach and i deleted my first comment then reposted it. but alas, within a few minutes it had attracted all the likes necessary for me to lose.

and then i resorted to if you can't beat them, you join them, and i then took my time to like all the previous comments in that thread.

a few days later, after most of us lost the competition, i sat back and wondered, the nigerian mentality of if i can't have it no one else will have it it a prevalent attitude.  in retrospect i wish i could apologize to all whose comments i 'liked' in revenge, but of all  FirstLady tinny roonie stands out. so i use her as a way to reach out to all.  Biggest apology to her. i am sorry.

it's also known as dog eat dog mentality, imagine a society where we all cared about each other, where we all loved each other and where we all looked after the interests of each other.

we need to develop the right mindset if we are to experience change in this country. the change we need does not begin at the level of the presidency and other political positions.
 The Change begins with you!!!

the bible says clearly, Remove the LOG in your own eyes first before attempting to remove the speck in another's eyes.
As Bishop FEB Idahosa would always say. Be the change you want to see.

so as we enter a new year, let's look inwards before we look outwards, how have we contributed to the rot in our dearly beloved nation? paying or receiving bribes? making things difficult for others? stealing? petty thefts? cybercrime? hijacking of products price? cutting corners? lying? cheating? laziness? etc...

Remember you can only punish disobedience when your own obedience is complete...

So when next you want to clamour for change remember the change is you!!! Happy New Year in Advance!!!

FATAL FATE 9

She hoped the world wouldn't judge her when her story spread

she was an eccentric girl who happened to be the favorite daughter of a late multi billionaire

she didn't ask to be born with a tumor in her brain

she didn't ask to be left all her father's money like he did

she didn't ask for any of this...

She thought finally see you soon Dad and she kicked away the stool

She struggled and struggled and then she felt life drain out of her...

she woke up with a scream!!!
She looked at the time 5am,what a nightmare!
she stood up and walked to her fridge, took a bottle of water and went back to sleep!!!

THE END!!!
You people like tragedy too much, instead of you to be thanking God it was all a dream you will start complaining now... cheers

FATAL FATE 8

She was back home, but she couldn't sleep,

she kept rolling over the events of the last few hours

she was still in a state of shock. so this was her sister's plan all along?

She couldn't believe the height of man's inhumanity to man. her blood sister!

She wept uncontrollably, however she had made up her mind on what to do

she called her lawyer and asked for how to write a last testament

she willed all her wealth to the motherless home down the street

she gave out the house her sister lived in to the house help and cook

she smiled when she was done writing her testament and she mailed it to her lawyer who stamped it

she dragged a stool to the middle of the room,

she climbed it and put a noose on the fan..

FATAL FATE 7

she was seated on the bed facing him and her sister

she knew she was in a fix and couldn't see a way out

She was going to be arrested by the police for murder by morning

she had killed her fiance's secretary in cold blood.

She could see no alternative than to agree to their henious plan

she would keep quiet, go on with the sham of a wedding, then sign over her inheritance to him...

she would then have to live with the knowledge that her husband scammed her to get her wealth then eloped with her sister...

she had to go along with their plan else they would report the murder

she stood up with her head held high, fine she agreed. see you in church by 9am dearie

She walked out of the house with perfect composure

she couldn't allow them see the tears streaming down her face unrestrained..

she made up her mind on what to do...

FATAL FATE 6

She hid behind the curtain and watched events unfold...

she saw her fiance look around and then pick his phone to call

she heard him say "thank God baby, your crazy sister fell for our plan"

she felt like all air left her as she began to gasp for breath

she stumbled back into the room and faced him

she watched him drop the phone in shock

She smiled, she wasn't having a relapse after all

she had indeed stumbled on her fiancé cheating with her sister

She faced him mustering all her strength...

she delivered a resounding slap to his face.

she told him to forget about any wedding happening the next morning

she turned and began to walk out of his room.

she almost made it when the sound of his voice stopped her in her tracks.

N.B- happy boxing day

FATAL FATE 5

She froze, knowing her fiance had come home

She hadn't told him of her previous mental condition...

She had kept it secret from him all the while

She wasn't about to risk him finding out and breaking up.

She thought swiftly on what she could do...

She walked briskly back up the stairs albeit silently

She could practically hear her heart beating faster than ever.

She suddenly remembered the fire escape outside his bedroom window

She ran into the room, and headed for the window.

She climbed out carefully and was almost Scot free

She suddenly noticed a pink slipper hanging out the window

She recognized the gift she gave her sister on her birthday last week
She froze in shock at the same time the bedroom door swung open...

N.B MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE...

FATAL FATE 4

She couldn't believe her eyes...

She was staring at an empty room

She wiped her eyes twice yet same result...

She couldn't believe her mind was playing tricks on her again

She sat down on the bed lost in thought

She felt bad, but the doctor had assured her there would be no relapse she thought,

She suddenly remembered the secretary's body lying in the garage.

She had probably just killed an innocent woman

She rushed out so she could go back home before anyone else came.

She had gotten to the door when she heard the key turn in the lock...

WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS

What a Friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer.

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge,
take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield you;
you will find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear
May we ever, Lord, be bringing all to
Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright unclouded there
will be no need for prayer
Rapture, praise and endless worship
will be our sweet portion there.

THAT NAME JESUS

This post didn't have a title as at the start of this writing. i woke up with a song dominating my mind...
There is power in the name of jesus,  to break evry chain , .... initially, i just sang it then kept quiet,
then another song popped in my head as i worked in the church office,
"the name, the name, of Jesus, is greater and higher than all names, it is not an ordinary name, it's the name that's full of power and grace..."

i began to wonder what was going on... and then i got a call and someone shared an awesome testimony, whe had prayed in the name of Jesus and an amazing miracle took place.

and then it struck me... the name of Jesus is so effective and carries so much power no matter the medium through which it is used. via song, via prayer, via text, via social media etc...
"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." (John 14:13,14)

and the devil realized this and began to put in place strategies to water down the effect of the name of Jesus.  and guess what?? he is succeeding.

hold it!!! i knoww some of you religious folks are about to attack me, calling me a liar and opening bible verses to prove to me that the name of Jesus will always be effective, let me quote some of the verses you will be attempting to use

His name represents all of His finished work on the cross, fulfilling God's plan of redemption and salvation, victory over sin, death, and over the devil's entire realm. When the name of Jesus Christ is invoked, it carries all of the power and distinction God gave to it. God raised Jesus from the dead, elevated Him to His right hand, and gave Jesus a name above "every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come." (Ephesians 1:21)

Philippians declares, "God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth." (Philippians 2:9, 10) Hebrews states, regarding Jesus, "when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they." (Hebrews 1:3, 4)

On the day of Pentecost, the people were deeply moved after Peter's powerful sermon, and asked, "What do we do?" Peter answered, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38)

so you see, i agree with you when you use the name of Jesus to pray like i pointed out in the begining of my atricle it is always effective, but what if the devil has found a way for us to pray without using the name of Jesus while we think we are using it?

THE TREND
of course if he suddenly removed the name of Jesus from our prayers we would notice immediately, so he decided to emplore the famous tactic we use on social media which is short hand. so all of a sudden you see someone type a very long prayer and end it with IJN, amen. how come the only item worthy of abbreviation is in jesus name? (ah ahh, some people think i am just paranoid for nothing.) i ask you to take a look into how xmas has subtly been substituted for christmas. it initially started as a shorthand, whth X being the short form of christ(i still wonder till date how they achieved that understanding, but that's a post for another day,) but now even in pronunciation people now pronounce xmas as a suitable alternative for Christmas, and in many circles now, Christ has been substituted for X.

so you see the danger in allowing yourselves to fall into the trap of reducing the name of Jesus to mere shorthand? the power lies in the name!!! the bible says clearly, At the mention of the name of Jesus... not at the mention of the abbreviation of the name of Jesus...

the amazing part is the school of thought that advocates the use of shorthand as a means of conserving space, and i wonder how do you conserve space by removing the name that malkes the prayer you are praying effective?
as i write this post another song flashed in my spirit(that name Jesus, that name Jesus carry weight ooo by BNG). in fact, that'll be the title of this post. "THAT NAME JESUS"

well that's all i have to say, so when next you want to abbreviate the name of Jesus, i hope you will think twice...
Minister Effizey Signing out

P.S.As the year draws to a close and everyone is balancing accounts, so also the kingdom of hell is balancing. i pray for you today, the enemy will not use you, your family or your loved ones to balance accounts this year in Jesus name... Amen

LIVING TO IMPACT!

A small boy named Joel lived in a village in Warri, Nigeria.
None of his classmates liked him because of his stupidity,
especially his teacher, who was always yelling at him, "You are
driving me crazy Joel". One day Joel's mother came to the school to
check on how he was faring. The teacher told his mother honestly,
that her son is simply a disaster, getting very low marks and had
never seen such a dumb boy in her entire teaching career! The
mother was shocked at the feedback, withdrew her son
from the school and even moved to another town!
25 years later, the teacher was diagnosed with an incurable heart
disease. All the doctors strongly advised her to have a open heart
operation, which only one surgeon could perform.
Left with no other option, the teacher decided to have the
operation, which was successful.
When she opened her eyes after the surgery, she saw a
handsome doctor smiling down at her. She wanted to thank him, but
could not talk.
Her face started to turn blue, she raised her hand, trying to
tell him something but eventually died.
The doctor was shocked and was trying to work out what
went wrong. When he turned around, he saw our friend Joel working
as a cleaner in the clinic, who had unplugged the oxygen equipment
to connect his phone charger.
Common, Don't tell me you thought Joel became a doctor?
Good morning...
Now while you laugh... Some points you must take note of..
* we should try as much as possible to
speak positively into the life of people around us, and we should be a blessing by Adding something good. Try to encourage and if
possible pray so there will be positive change. Who knows, joel
might have turned out to be the one to save her but she used her
mouth to destroy him. He showed her at the end that he was
actually dumb and caused a very big disaster to her.
Who have you impacted today?

IT PAYS TO SERVE JESUS (HYMN)

It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart,
He'll always be with us, if we do our part
There's naught in this wide world can pleasure afford;
There's peace and contentment in serving the Lord.

CHORUS
I love Him far better than in days of yore
I'll serve Him more truly than ever before,
I'll do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I'll be a true soldier, I'll die at my post.

And oft when I'm tempted to turn from the track,
I think of my Saviour, my mind wanders back
To the place where they nailed Him on Calvary's tree.
I heard a voice saying, "I suffered for thee."

A place I remember where I was set free,
'Twas where I found pardon, a heaven to me.
There Jesus spoke sweetly to my weary soul,
My sins were forgiven, He made my heart whole.

How rich is the blessing the world cannot give,
I'm satisfied fully for Jesus to live;
Though friends may forsake me and trial arise,
I am trusting Jesus, His love never dies.

There is no one like Jesus can cheer me today.
His love and His kindness can ne'er fade away,
In winter and summer, in sunshine and rain,
His love and affection are always the same.

Will you have this blessing that Jesus bestows,
A free full salvation from sin's bitter throes?
O come to the Saviour, to Calvary flee,
The fountain is opened, is flowing for thee
