TIME IS RUNNING OUT...

Morning guys....
Was just going through my diary and I came across this dream I had in may, I wonder how I never got around to blogging about this... I wanna get the word out with all sense of urgency... It's gonna be a long post but I assure you it's worth the read,

I saw the rapture
It was so so vivid...
Was in a keke napep along Allen avenue in lagos
And suddenly everyone started pointing up
I looked out too and started seeing images in the sky,
Saw people that looked like horsemen
Some looked like they were on power bike,
Some were just children,
But it looked like there was no difference between the skies and the earth as some people dodged when these airborne people zoomed by
And then people started disappearing

In front of me,
Immediately I knew it was the rapture,
I immediately brought out my phone to call my fiancee praying she would not be there to answer
But network was jammed. It seemed a lot of people were trying to call at once.
By now there was complete standstill as some of the drivers of cars in front had disappeared.
So I came down from the keke and ran towards opebi, the commotion there was much and then I ran into a friend
Can't place his face again, but he was like how did we miss it. What's next. And then I told him I'm just coming from church and that Rev preached a msg on Escathology few weeks ago
That we need to get to church asap n get that CD.
And that's how we started running back, thru Allen to oregun road, back to church,
There were people in accidents, I presumed the drivers must have disappeared, and as we rounded the corner into the church street, I screamed in anguish... And I woke up panting...

I asked God for a clear interpretation. I was like why would I be left behind and then also see a friend... God said... You and your friend represent my church. The church is not ready for me, they talk about me but are not ready to receive me...
For how much longer are we going to 'play church'?
I decided to do some more digging before posting this and I began to see a lot of questions that beg to be answered...
what do we have this days??...
..A worldly church in a "churchy" world...
music lovers and not worship lovers...
musicians and not ministers!
..And that's why we could 'dance azonto for jesus'.., and sing 'kingdom yahooze'.
..And that's why we can no longer distinguish between ladies trooping out of a church after a service and those trooping out of a motel after a party (after all they both look "sexy", courtesy of their wears), neither do we have a clear cut between born-again brothers and wuz-up guys any longer (at least they both wear same offensive hair-cuts, dragging pants, and flow alike in slang) ..And when you ask WHY, they tell you "it's the heart that matters" - as if to be reminded that it is out of the abundance of their heart that their mouth speaks. Or, when a plantain is ripe inside, from where do we know? The answer is obvious! -
They're like the Moses who claimed to be an Isrealite but was dressed like 'an Egyptian'!

Dear 'bro/sis of God!', it's high time you redefined your Salvation
status.. for the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal;
THE LORD KNOWS THEM THAT ARE HIS..!
Which do you belong? Where do you stand?? When the roll is called up yonder will you be there? If you know the answer to that is no, or not sure, no matter how many years you have been a 'church folk' for then you might wanna say this prayer with me

Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I
acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins
and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His
precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I
am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the
Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from
the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I
believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I
accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to
His Word, right now I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me
from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to
license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord
Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you
alone and not to myself.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
Amen.
Welcome to God's family...it's no longer about the number of services you have attended... It's about being one of God's own... I celebrate you, God bless you.
Yours Sincerely

WHERE DID THE NICE GUYS GO???

What happened to all the nice guys?

I see this question posted with some regularity, so i thought i'd take some time to explain to the ladies there that haven't figured it out.

What happened to all the nice guys?
The answer is simple: you did.

See if you think back, really hard, you might vaguely remember a platonic guy pal who always seem to want to spend time with you. He'd tag along with you anywhere you went, stop by your place when you were lonely but didn't feel like going out or even sit there and hold you when you sobbed and told him about how horribly your boyfriend treated you.

At the time, you probably joked with your girlfriends about how he was a little puppy dog, always following you around, trying to do things to get you to pay attention to him. They probably teased you because they thought he had a crush on you. Given that his behaviour was, admittedly, a little pathetic, you vehemently denied having any romantic feelings for him, and buttressed your position that you were "just friends". Besides he wasn't really your type, i mean, he was a little too bald, or too fat, or too poor, or didn't know how to dress himself properly, or basically be or do anything that your tall, good-looking, fit, rich, stylish boyfriend at the time pulled with ease.

Eventually the guy drifted away, as your relationship with the boyfriend got serious and spending time with this other guy was a litte weird. More time passed and the boyfriend eventually cheated on you or became boring. So now you are single again and having tried other guys, and you encountered players, you wonder, what happened to the nice guys?

Well, once again, you did.

You ignored the nice guy. You used him for emotional intimacy without reciprocating in kind with physical intimacy. You laughed at his consideration and resented his devotion. You valued the aloof boyfriend more than the "just a-" friend. Eventually, he took the hint and moved on with his life. He probably came to realise, one day, that ladies aren't really attracted to guys who hold doors open, or make dinners to please you, or buy you a gift that you mentioned, in passing, that you really wanted 5 months ago. He came to realise that, if he wanted a woman like you, he'd have to act more like the boyfriend you had. He probably cleaned up his look, started making some money, and generally started acting like the jerk he never wanted to be.

That took the complete absence of "nice guys" in your life for you only for you to realise that you missed them and want them back. But sadly they are never coming back. Only a few women, wiil infact actually have a handful of nice guys stumble into their lives!

Yours sincerely

WEDDING VOW...

Pardon my musings... In nigerian weddngs it's common to hear the same monotonous vows recited over and over again and everyone can practically anticipate the next words out of the preacher's mouth. in the

penticostal setting it goes something like... "i .... take thee..... as my lovely wedded wife, to love and to cherish, to have and to hold, from this day forward, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance."

catholic setting it goes like..."I, ___, take you, ___, to be my husband/wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love and honor you all the days of my life."

and i must say the vows are lovely, however as I prepared the marriage register last weekend in the church conference room, I heard the couple reciting their vows and I imagined what it would be like, how creative it would be, how deep and touching with meaning the words would be if I wrote my own vows myself,
But since we belong to a penticostal dispensation where such is not really the order of the day, i decided to write it as a letter instead and share it with you...
Ok, here we go...

I promise to give you the best of myself and to ask of you no more than you can give.

I promise to respect you as your own person and to realize that your interests, desires
and needs are no less important than my own.

I promise to share with you my time and my attention and to bring joy, strength and imagination
to our relationship.

I promise to keep myself open to you, to let you see through the window of my world into my innermost fears and feelings, secrets and dreams.

I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to face changes in order to keep our relationship alive and exciting.

I promise to love you in good times and bad, with all I have to give and all I feel inside in the only way I know how, completely and forever
THEN AT THE POINT OF EXCHANGING RINGS...
MY OH MY... don't i just feel like getting married already..... (Mental note to self, i gatz explore the possibility of reciting this on my wedding day oooo)
oya my people una don read am... wetin una think ooooo
