THE DEATH SERIES: EPISODE 3: THE HEAVEN DILEMA
However i owe anyone who disagrees no apology, we are sometimes so entrenched in the status quo that we find it hard to understand Truth even when it's light shines directly on us.
Anyway i will be glad to answer any questions, simply direct them to tgbamila@gmail.com
Today we go straight to EPISODE 3: THE HEAVEN DILEMA
As usual a strange title, but if I must be honest to myself I am really in a dilema as regards the existence of Heaven to the believer.( Hold on, I have not back slided yet) but everytime I see a death and the attendant reactions from christians I am forced to wonder if Heaven is real.
I grew up hearing stories about the beauty of Heaven, how the streets are paved with gold and how there are crowns waiting for the believer who gets there. However the only downside to it is that it is not immediately accessible to us. we have to wait for either death or for the rapture.
I remember a particular sunday school where a little boy stood up, raised his hands and said, "Aunty, why can't we all go to heaven now?" the adults burst into laughter.
Herein lies my Dilema; if heaven is real with all the attendant glory, and the only two ways to access it is either death or rapture, how come those are the two occurences most dreaded by the church today. the mention of the second coming of Christ in some churches today seems like taboo, whilst every prayerband is praying against the spirit of death. A secular musician who got puzzled had to sing "...Nobody wan die but them wan go heaven..."
As much as Christ has conquered death and given us access to life, if death is the only way to get to heaven for now, since Christ tarries, then why are christians so terrified of dying? does it mean they do not really believe what they confess about heaven being a better place? does it mean some believers do not really believe what they profess?
Apostle Paul was so happy to die, he said he had fought a good fight, had finished the race and was now ernestly waiting for the crown Christ will give him on the day of reckoning and then he made a profound statement that not only him, but a prize also awaits those who look forward eagerly to the day of Christ's coming.
I was listening to Benefit of Death recently, a message preached by Archbishop Benson Idahosa before he passed on to glory and I heard this "Pa Elton said to me Don't raise me from the dead when I die infact 6hours after I die bury me.. I have served God for 56years... I have done every thing God asked me to do. Don't buy a coffin, wrap me in a cloth and bury me; use the money for coffin to buy tracts and share to people And that's exactly what we did" -
Archbishop B.A Idadosa.
in my opinion that was a man who firmly believed in Heaven, and wanted to go there. his instruction "...Don't raise me from the dead when i die" is instructive. he knew he had lived a life of purpose and he was ready to go home to be with the lord.
My conclusion is this, The minute you truly believe Heaven is real and heaven awaits you when you die, you stop being afraid of death and concentrate on making maximum impact here on earth because you know your time here on earth is limited. that way when the master comes to take you home, you stretch your arms to him lovingly saying "Receive me."

Tribute to Dr Myles Munroe
news that Dr.Myles Munroe and his beloved wife Ruth have left this
earth in a tragic plane crash.
Dr.Myles and his wife have impacted my life, ministry and our whole
Russian speaking world in such a way that it`s difficult to imagine.
Dr.Myles Munroe was not just a Pastor, Teacher and Minister of the
gospel. Dr.Myles was first of all a Man, he was a real man, a
complete person, a genuine human being. He is a man that genuinely
worked hard to transform himself so much that he reflects the image
and likeness of God. Myles Munroe makes you feel like you are his
peer. He makes you feel welcome, he does everything to make you
feel at home.
I feel I should share the story of the first time I met him in 1999. He
and Ruth came to our ministry here at the Embassy of God, Kiev,
Ukraine, for the very first time. However a few days before his arrival
I was down with chickenpox. Of course, with that kind of infection I
needed to be isolated. But Dr.Myles insisted on seeing me and when
he came into the room I asked him to stay away from me since I did
not want him to get infected, but instead of that, he came right at me
hugging me. What he said was even more amazing. He said: “…rub
those wounds on my skin, rub your body against my body because
we are brothers, we are covenant brothers, we are brothers keepers”,
he said, “let your problem become my problem, let your challenge
become my challenge, let`s share this chickenpox together, let`s
carry the burden together…” I was like WHAT!!! What is this man
doing? But from that day Myles Munroe won my heart, he quickly
became one of my closest Friends on earth, a Confidant, Teacher,
Senior Brother, Colleague, Partner, and just a Trusted Friend.
Then a day later, when the conference began I made another
discovery of this ONE IN A LIFETIME PERSONALITY. I discovered
that Myles Munroe is a Teacher, at first I was perplexed that even
though I never heard this man and I think he never heard me, but yet
how come we are talking the same language? I never heard anybody
preaching such a similar message as I preached. To hear Dr.Myles
Munroe do it with such brilliance and eloquence totally impressed
me. I think preachers will understand me when I say, at a point you
get to a place when it is difficult to find who to listen to, but from that
week till date Myles Munroe became one of a few people in the world
whom I can readily listen to and take away something for myself.
Myles Munroe, oh, did he shake my world!!! After his messages,
testimonies and words in our church I vowed to discover God for
myself in a new way, he sparked a new hunger in me, that drove me
to God and self-education like never before, after which my ministry
took to a totally different dimension. We started to have social,
economic and political influence, just as he taught us. Members of
our church began to discover and pursue their purpose, - and then
the explosion began.
Let me tell you another story about the humanity of this great giant of
God. Each time I met Dr.Myles, you won`t believe this, but he runs
towards me with his arms wide opened like for a warm embrace,
then falls on his knees with his head bowed down. This is one of the
biggest acts of humility you will ever see, especially coming from
such a renowned personality like Dr.Myles Munroe.
Dr.Myles paid a great price to keep coming to Ukraine to help us
build a world-class church. He was embarrassed many times by the
customs at the point of entrance, yet, brotherly love prevailed on him
to overlook all the hindrances and challenges that it takes to partner
with a brother and to help a friend. When the attacks on me and our
church from the Ukrainian government became very fierce with all
forms of false accusations, allegations, court cases and threats,
Dr.Myles was constantly keeping in touch despite his busy schedule
to assure us of his prayers. Even though I could not travel out of
Ukraine of late, Dr.Myles was always sending messages to find out
how I was doing etc.
The last I heard of Myles Munroe was last month when he sent a
message through a common friend who was visiting Ukraine from
Israel where Dr.Myles was speaking. He wanted me to know he was
coming to see me soon and he said, “tell Pastor Sunday, he is the
most strategic person I have ever met, I will be with him there
soon”...
Today I discovered that I am no more going to be privileged to
receive the embrace of my brother anymore on this side of the
ocean.
Dr.Myles, as it were, I can see that you are no more the one going to
be with me soon, but rather I soon will be with you, – in our heavenly
Father`s home.
Rest in peace my Friend
Rest in peace my Brother
Rest in peace my Confidant
Rest in peace my Inspiration
Rest in peace God`s General
Rest in peace Teacher of men
Rest in peace the Man of purpose.
You have lived a full life, poured out to humanity, great shall be your
reward. Rest well, Dr.Myles Munroe. Adieu, Dr.Ruth Munroe, until we
all meet again at the bosom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Your Friend and Brother,
Pastor Sunday and Bose Adelaja

I AM
yesso... after the amazing question i posted last week, i was opportuned to preach in a church that same thursday evening and i asked them the same question, WHO ARE YOU? well thankfully at the end of the message God helped us to be able to identify who we were and it was an awesome time in God's presence,
well, in this post i will be answering the question as it pertains to me, and i hope many of you have also gotten answers to that question(though una no gree comment so i go know ooo) but i'll go ahead...
God revealed himself severally in the past as I AM...(THAT I AM, THE BREAD OF LIFE, THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB, THE LORD, THE TRUE VINE... ETC) and thus we have the ready made format for introduction. so when God noticed that an identity crisis was plaguing his body(the church) he decided to remind us and this he did when he first of all said... "have i not told you? ye are gods!) let's not forget that was a reminder oooo, he had told us before.
a god! ahhh no way some of you would say, well let me remind you how man came to be... you were made in God's image(to look like him) and likeness(to function like him) so that when you walked into a place, people would see God. in other words God cloned you from himself so you could represent him here on earth.
(still not sure who you are?)
let me tell you who i am
I AM A CHOSEN GENERATION, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PECULIAR PERSON... Now if you doubt the veracity of my claim as told me by God in 1pet2:9, i'm sure God was also serious in Rev 1:6, and in Rev5:10 again where he affirmed that i have been made a priest unto God and a king here on earth.
this takes me on a journey back through history, A king is the ruler of a kingdom, however when the kingdom runs into trouble, the king is usually stumped and he sends for the priest, the only person in the kingdom who can confer with the gods and profer a solution. so the chain of authority wss
king-priest-god!
however just as God is three in one, i'm also three in one, i'm a king, a priest and a god!!! so everything responds to me. i carry myself with that knowledge, and it has changed the way i look at situations around me.
now every small god gets his divinity from a soucre, fourtunately for me, i get mine directly from whom i was cloned from, the Almighty God, the Only ruler of the Heavens and the Earth. so he is my boss, my Father. so i dispense my duties as a priest to him,(offerring sacrifices, prayers and oblation to him) and then i rule as a king here on earth.(having dominion, rulership ans authority)
this simply means, now that i know who i am in christ here on earth, when challenges that confront kings confront me, i don't begin to run helter skelter like others, i simply settle it the way a priest would do. however this means something. my priesthood must be intact if i'm to be a successful king.
A lot of christians want to rush into becoming kings, forgetting to settle their priesthood. and thus run into trouble. the bible says i am a royal priesthood. the question is which comes first, royality or priesthood. let me use another analogy, i am a blackman. means i am first a man before i am black. the black in fromt simple qualifies the man, so the royality simply qualifies my priesthood. in other words,
my proximity to divinity will determine my royality amongst humanity.

THE GREATEST WRITER EVER
well during the past week i journeyed across several cities on my way to the ancient city(Oba A Tokpe EEE) for the wedding of a friend where yours sincerely was the best man... (yes ooooh imagine me, best man... mhen the experience na something else... but that's a story for another day)
back to my story, you all know i'm a fan of great writers and some of my favourite writers are the best that have ever lived e.g
Sydney Sheldon
John Grisham
Jackie Collins
Richard North Patterson
James Patterson
Steven King, who also writes as Richard Bachman
Fredrick forsyth
Robert Ludlum
Wilbur Smith
of course, JK Rowlings
J.R.R Tolkien
and several other Authors of Newyorktimes bestseller novels,
you see that i have read books written by the very best? the creme de la creme of authors...
when these writers write they captivate you in such a way that their writing has a profound influence on you and minutes after the close of their books you could be left gasping for breath cos of the breathtaking way the book ended.
however i stumbled upon the greatest writer ever.... he's the greatest not just because his book is the most sold book in human history,(over 5billion copies sold) or because his book is captivating and practically moulds you into a new person as you read, or because he tells the most amazing stories, but because he takes part in writing the story of our lives, filling it with so much suspense, intrigue, twists and turns, and then because he is an expert at spinning out the most beautiful of endings out of seemingly hopeless situations.
of course i'm talking about Jesus Christ, the one who can turn your Mess into a Message, who can trade your Ashes for Beauty, Who can be your Refuge in the time of trouble and who is the Author and Finisher of our faith,
is the story of your life getting sour? why not hand over the script to the greatest writer and let him work his wonders, watch him as he rewrites your story and takes you from zero to hero...
and by the way if you haven't got a copy of his best selling book of all time, "The Bible",
i would be giving out 20 free copies, just holla at me by geting my details from the contact Minister effizey section of this blog.
God bless you
have a fulfilling week.
stay tuned for a very interesting episode of "The Wedding"

10 DEADLY RELATIONSHIP ASSASSINS
so we go straight into the business of the day,
1. Too Many Expectations –
bro many times you want her to know what you want without saying it? sister, you expect him to remember almost everything even when he has got several matters demanding his attention? Yes, we are in love and you sure mean a lot to us but we are human as well. Expect more and see more faults, expect less and you will be able to appreciate your partner more. i once read somewhere that instead of expectation you could replace it with expectancy... you know that expectant feeling when you don't know what your partner's gonna say or do? when you go to see your partner with the expectancy of having an interesting date? not necessarily an expectation of collecting a big gift? (you get the drift?) basically when you have too many expectations, you're a step away from easy disappointment, but when you go into a relationship without expecting the whole world, it makes it easier for your spouse to pleasantly surprise you. you would learn to appreciate the little things he/she does, instead of saying, isn't that what is expected of him/her?try this exercize for a month,( for the ladies everytime you go out, calculate the amount spent and assume you have to pay, for the guys every time she pays her way to your place calcullate the amount she pays, the amount of the little things she buys for you, the litle things she does for you you would otherwise have paid for, document this down, and then at the end of the month see how much he/she has saved you) you will discover that the little things you take for granted actually sum up to a lot.
2. Lies –
Well, this cannot be overstretched. it's an open secret that trust is the basis of any good relationship and the more you lie to your partner, the lesser he/she trusts you, and when trust is gone in a relationship, that’s trouble!3. Not sharing –
No one forms a relationship by themselves. It takes two to get at it. A balanced relationship demands the effort of the-two involved. It’s about what you-two bring to the center. The pressure would be one-sided if one person chooses to be greedy. Sharing is one of many things that powers a relationship and makes it balance. this cuts across finance to other aspects,4. Romance Wanted –
Absence of romance in a relationship makes it boring. There are ways to get at this, Romance is sensual and not always intimate.(i still believe in No to pre marital sex) Identify those things that could create an intimate moment, things that sponsors good connection between you- two and starting doing them. The importance is simply to keep the attraction alive.a major mistake many men make here is that soon as they get married they stop doing all those things they did that got the girl so so excited to be with them. Marrriage shouldn't stop romance, it should open it up to a whole new level
5. Blaming Your Partner -
Yes! Keep blaming your partner for everything that’s wrong in your relationship and watch it die slowly. When you see more of his/her faults, there will always be something to complain about and the more thecomplains the more the relationship would lose its value. even if your partner is wrong, there are subtle ways to correct him/her without pouring blames outrightly, many times also the ability to shoulder blames for the good of the relationship is necessary
6. Lack of Communication/ wrong communication –
Not in the area of phone calling or text messages though also important but specifically in the awareness of things to do or how to do them. Both parties must be kept abreast of what’s coming. Make your moves, schedules, work or some family related details clear to your partner. Always keeping them in the dark brings about uncertainties that could cause regular misunderstanding in a relationship. for instance i have a perfect example of my girlfriend that i could use to illustrate this point but i'm sorry i won't be able to because i haven't talked it over with her, and i know she hates publicity, so my going ahead to use her to illustrate this point would mean i am insensitive to her feelings(that's what i would be communicating by doing it)
7. Cohabitation –
It’s one of the easiest ways to make your partner get fed up with the relationship. When you become too regular, so many things could lose its value and get lost accordingly.a man who is living with a woman he is not married too will sooner or later be seen as a leech or gold digger at the very least, and at worst as an irresponsible person who is not man enough, if not by the woman, then by her friends and family, and a woman who lives with a man she is not maried to will sooner or later lose her respect, as she will be expected to fulfill all the duties of a married woman, and before you know it, the man would not see any need to 'put a ring on it' since he has all the benefits provided by a ring and none of the 'bondage' of a ring. this is stirictly a no no. don't think about it.below is a researched statisctics shown in graphical form
8. Pretense –
You seem to be too cool at everything because you want to impress him/her, that’s trouble!what happened to being yourself? no matter how much you try to pretend one ay the pretense will wear off and him/her will see through you, or you pretend to like everything he/she says or does, you gotta learn to be open about the things you like and do not like.(of course wisdom and attimes tact in necesary in doing this,) but you can only pretend for so long. and the consequences are usually disastrous9. Poor Timing –
Whatsoever is sharing your quality time with your partner needs to be transferred on another time slot.Having the space for regular conversation strengthens your relationship and if it’s an LDR,(Long Distance Relationship) you either could talk regularly on phone or pick a day or two in every week for this. Good time spent together reveals a lot, strengthens the bond, secures the relationship and it helps in no little measure.
and last but in no way the least
10. Issues not discussed –
There could be some areas you desire to have your partner change or get better at. If you choose to keep mute about it and you such keeps receiving your attention and you just can't ignore, it kills relationships slowly. issues not discussed leads to pent up anger, emotions, rage and eventually terrible explotion from which there is usually no return.in summary; If there are issues not discussed in a relationship, it could make both partners keep hurtful secrets and in-turn produce
beautiful lies. Blaming your partner while you appear to be without fault doesn't make you in-charge but out rightly discharging the strength of the union. Cohabiting, though allowed in many countries is one major reason relationships will always lose its value quickly and another reason men and women would be used and abandoned. Somethings do NOT go together with a relationship and do remember that the best of relationships comes with several sacrifices made.
Finally remember in all things to put God as the foundation of your relationship*in kore's voice* "a three cord is not easily broken" (in fact i gotta review the whole song...)

MARRIAGE: A LEAP OF FAITH(LESSONS TO LEARN FROM MUMMY OYEDEPO)
Marriage is not an achievement like one of your certificates, degrees and credentials. It is not an acquisition like a car or landed property. It must be noted that some marriages bring the completeness that a man or woman needs. Let's take you on a journey, as we look at the ten facts or behind-the-scenes of the life and marriage of Bishop
David Oyedepo and his first lady, Faith Oyedepo:
1. The great man of God, Bishop David Oyedepo was a polytechnic student at Kwara State Polytechnic in the city of Ilorin. The wife,
Faith was a university student in Ife. We are all aware of the battle of credentials: the discrimination between Diploma holders and Degree holders. They both met at a motor park, and the great Bishop proposed to her. She could have snubbed him when he approached her, but the queen was humble enough to respond positively. This is a great lesson that our 21st century ladies need to learn: humility.
2. There was a time that David Oyedepo's friends complained that he was becoming hyper-spiritual. They said he was carrying Christianity too passionately and zealously as if he were the only Christian. This burning zeal and passion was later transfered to Faith, and she became passionate also. As their love progressed, David took her to church in
1976 and made her to sign an agreement (Sailing Under Sealed Orders) to marry and follow him whether he became blind, lame or handicapped. And she signed. This is a great lesson about commitment and
Determination.
3. Before they got married, while David was still hopping between
jobs, David told Faith that God has sent him to liberate the world. It
could be very hard to believe, you know. During this period, he went
ahead to resign his job. This caused his elder brother to lambast him,
but Faith stood by him. David made her to know that God had shown him
the key to prosperity, and she believed. Hmmm...
4. David also went ahead and told her that they would build a 50,000
capacity tent and preach the gospel in private jets: Faith also
believed her dream lover. During their wedding eve, David was too
'financially balanced' to afford a hotel room, and had to sleep in his
rickety Volkswagen Beetle. And Faith married him.
5. There was a time he ordered a mad man to be put in his car alone
with Faith while she was pregnant. It was like a moment of insane
faith, but the wife stood still and remained. She proved her name. A
time came when she was dripping blood during her pregnancy, she told
him that she had a miscarriage and he exclaimed: ''It cannot happen.
Can I have my food, please?'' She went ahead and served him.
6. When they had their first baby and there was no food and money at
home, he refused to borrow or ask or take church money. They were
eating and drinking 'Cerelac' baby food for three days. She didn't
complain in all these. A lesson about perseverance. There was a day
she came to church and found her husband very excited with few
members. She was waiting for the service to start but he told her that
service was over already. She just smiled...
7. People started praying for her and her husband, because they
thought they were crazy and needed deliverence. She was calm and she
kept faith. The time came that her husband announced a new Bible
school and she knew there was no facility. She didn't face him in
public. She asked him privately and he responded with a 'Is it your
school?' She kept quite and didn't fight her husband. Getting
interesting, huh?
8. She didn't know he will pastor and she, co-pastor the largest
church auditorium in the world. She didn't know they would be flying
in customized jets around the world. That looks so wonderful, huh?
9. Faith didn't know that her husband, David, would be a father to
millions of people all over the world. Faith didn't know that her
husband would be hosted by Presidents and Heads of States of nations.
10. She didn't know he will be a Chancellor and Pioneer of one of the
best private-owned Universities in the world, and six others. There
was a time when she was sick and was admitted to one of the hospitals
in USA. She woke up to discover that her husband, David, had flown
quietly from Nigeria and was by her bed, refusing to wake her up. He
was kneeling on the floor by her legs and crying 'Lord, heal her and
prove that you sent me'. She got healed miraculously. And that
happened twice. All that the wife saw was a big God inside her
husband.
Thanks to Mama Oyedepo for not forming #Tushgirl. Now we all have seen
the #TushQueen you have become to that king, Bishop David Oyedepo.
Let's get our priorities right. It is sad to see that many ladies of
these days can't stand by a man with purpose and vision like Faith
did. Most ladies want a man that has 'arrived'. They are not
interested in staying at Surulere before moving to Olorunsogo. They
seem to forget that most men that walk with God need to grow in Him,
even as they (the ladies) grow with him (the husband). Some of our
mothers married our fathers when they had nothing to their names and
together, they grew to where they got to. Sadly, some of those parents
will not accept a spouse that doesn't have much to his or her name
when their child wants to be joined with one. Who upturned our values?
Who said you need to 'arrive' before taking a helping hand and
obtaining blessings from God? Remember, you don't need to be great to
start, but you need to start to be great. Everything begins from
below. The only thing that begins from the top is the grave. Learn the
lessons and build your future. God bless us!

MOSES IS DEAD.... JOSHUA WHERE ARE YOU!!!
I know the title of this post might sound a bit harsh or confusing but I ask that you be patient with me and follow me on this ride as I do my best to express myself in terms that you will understand…
At the mention of Joshua what comes to mind is the popular scripture Joshua 1:8, however The book of Joshua started with God speaking unto Joshua after the death of Moses.
Difference between Moses and Joshua
· Moses took them out of Egypt: Joshua took them into the promised land
· Moses fought for them: Joshua fought with them
· Moses carried a rod: Joshua carried a sword
· Moses fed them: Joshua taught them to plant
Moses went at the forefront: Joshua went with his people
Moses parted the Red sea for israel to escape: Joshua parted the Jordan for Israel to conquer
Moses was the past… Joshua is the future…

ITS MY 25TH BIRTHDAY(25 THINGS I HAVE LEARNT IN 25 YEARS)
Wow… I’m finally 25… yea I know peeps don’t like screaming their ages out loud. But walahi(in hausa accent) I don’t care! God has been so faithful and he has brought me through a lot to where I am now…
The recipie for failure is to try to please everybody at all times
when push comes to shove, the only friend who'll never leave you is God
don't compromise integrity, when the chips are down integrity will speak for you
when things begin to look really hard, hold on tight, your miracle is around the corner
not everyone who calls you friend is happy with you
give without expecting anything in reture, it's one way to open the heavens
you need to love you for people to love you
you cannot feature in a future you cannot picture
until your heart agrees with your mouth you can't get answers to prayers
Never run ahead of God, you will hit a ditch and have to wait for him to come pick you up while you suffer pain. save yourself the pain and walk with him
until you know God you cannot truly love. likewise anyone that does not know God cannot love you
when you stumble into sin, stop wallowing in guilt, it's a trap! run back to your maker for reconciliation
everyone makes mistakes, stop beating yourself up, put yourself together and move on...
Diligence is the key to breakthrough, even if you are just a cleaner clean well!
Life without Christ is crisis... no sentiments.... he can turn ur mess into a message
